More than a brand, this is a lifestyle

Battle Oats is a health food brand that was founded in 2013 with the mission of empowering and facilitating a healthy, active and adventurous lifestyle through the creation of the most vibrant foods on the market.

We began working with Battle Oats in 2014 and through partnership we helped them elevate their products and increase their audience engagement. The rebrand process was extensive, with many routes of direction generated through our design process. The final result aimed to communicate the natural, pure ethos of the company whilst continuing to send a message of empowerment and excitement.

In 2017 Battle Oats celebrated the sale of 1 million bars, since being established. We are currently working with them on new product launches and on the launch of a new website late 2017.

Designing the brand and packaging for a disruptive health food bar

Battle Oats was an opportunity to do something different to a lot of the other health bars on the market. As opposed to a clean design, we wanted something that communicated both the attitude of adventure encompassed in the brand and also a feeling that is was made with all natural ingredients (which it is).

The process brought about four strong designs, each having their own stake as the design to move forward with. Working closely with the founders, we felt the final design showcased best what Battle Oats was about and what it was destine to become. The packaging design purposefully powerful, allowing each flavour to own it’s own colour and making each bar clearly identifiable from a distance.

The final result of the rebrand has been a huge success and in early 2017, Battle Oats received the news that Holland and Barrett, a major UK retailer would like to stock them across a majority of their stores. As well as interest from overseas and an ever increasing presence online, Battle Oats seeks to be one of the biggest names for health bars in years to come.
